Lake Las Vegas is a peaceful new lakeside resort village approximately twenty miles east of downtown Las Vegas.  It is almost the antithesis of the noisy and neon lit strip, out here, it gets dark at night and you can gaze at the stars in quiet relaxation.  The Resort rests aside the 320-acre, man-made Lake Las Vegas.  While there are several hotels and casinos at the resort, most of the visitors here come to regroup after a few days of partying in Las Vegas.  Things are slower-paced here and the entertainment reflects this more tranquil attitude.  Locals and visitors enjoy taking picnic baskets and lawn chairs or blankets and watching mini concerts on the green while nibbling cheese and sipping Chardonnay.
There are 3,500 full and part-time residents living in this development and residential community, which is a work in progress and occupies 3,000 acres at present.  There is much to do for families, golfers and couples alike.  At the different resorts, you can rent fishing gear, paddleboats, or electric boats for a day on the clear blue lake.  There is a world- class 54-hole golf course or if you prefer, a day of professional pampering at one of the chic spas.  Whatever your tastes you are sure to find a way to enjoy all that Lake Las Vegas has to offer.
