Welcome to Summerlin
Summerlin is a master planned community that was built by the Howard Hughes Corporation along the western edge of the Las Vegas Valley. The northern portion of summerlin lies within the city limits of Las Vegas, while the southern half occupies unincorporated Clark County.  Construction of this 23,400-acre community began in 1990, with the first phase of construction, Summerlin North.  As of December of 2003, Summerlin had a population of 84,350.
Summerlin is a phenomenal example of a beautifully designed and built community with all of the amenities residents require to lead healthy, productive and entertaining lives.  There are bicycle paths along most of the roads here and there are over 100 mini parks and 9 golf courses, spread out throughout the different communities.  All of these parks excluding those in private, gated communities are open to the general public.
